Ontario150 Grant

What is Ontario150?

For Canada's 150th birthday, Ontario will be celebrating with new funding, events and programs! Ontario will be supporting programs and events which exhibit the diverse cultures of Ontarians.  


Who Can Apply?

Municipalities, community groups and not-for-profit organizations that will create social and cultural legacies through initiatives that support celebration, engagement and innovation in Ontario can apply for funding.


Types of Funding:

There are three funding programs you can apply for:

  • Community Celebration Program (application opens July 6 and closes September 2, 2016)
  • Partnership Program (application opens July 6 and closes September 30, 2016)
  • Community Capital Program - funded through Ontario Trillium Foundation (application opens July 18 and closes  September 14, 2016)

We can assist you in the following ways:

  • Determining applicant eligibility
  • Facilitating application process
  • Facilitating collaboration efforts or partnerships
  • Writing a letter of support for our partners
